Three Grande Prairie men charged in sexual assault and forcible confinement investigation

Three men from Grande Prairie have been arrested and charged in connection to an alleged sexual assault and forcible confinement investigation. 
Grande Prairie RCMP General Investigation Section, ALERT, RCMP Police Dog Services, and Grande Prairie General Duty members arrested the men on March 222, 2019.
During the arrests, drugs and a firearm were also located.
30-year-old Garrett Kenneth Forrest of Grande Prairie is facing 10 charges, including Forcible confinement, Sexual assault, Administer noxious substance, Assault with a weapon, Uttering threats against person (2 counts), Unauthorized possession of a firearm (2 counts), Possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm with ammunition, and Trafficking Cocaine.
27-year-old Matthew Robert Best of Grande Prairie is facing 15 charges, including Forcible confinement, Sexual assault, Administer noxious substance, Assault with a weapon, Uttering threats against person (2 counts), Unauthorized possession of a firearm (2 counts), Trafficking Cocaine, Fail to comply with recognizance (5 counts), and Possession of Prohibited or Restricted Firearm with Ammunition.
31-year-old Robert Wade Stewart of Grande Prairie is facing 9 charges, including Unauthorized possession of a firearm (2 counts), Possession of prohibited or restricted firearm with ammunition, Trafficking cocaine, Fail to comply with recognizance (4 counts), and Possession of cocaine.
Garrett Forrest and Matthew Best remain in custody and are scheduled to appear in provincial court on April 15, 2019.
Robert Stewart has been resleased and will appear in court on April 24, 2019.
