Possible alleged abduction under investigation in Fort St. John
Fort St. John RCMP are looking to speak with a mother and child after a possible attempted abduction.
Police say on Saturday between 10:30 - 11 a.m., a man was seen picking up four or five-year old boy in the Subway parking lot at the intersection of 97th Ave. and 100th St.
The boy and a woman began screaming, which prompted a passer-by to confront the man and tell him to put the child down.
The man co-operated and left the scene on foot, walking towards a nearby school.
The woman and the child also walked away, toward 102nd St.
All three were described as South Asian or Middle Eastern.
The man has been described as between 25 and 35-years old, with a 5 o'clock shadow, large thick neck with a white button up shirt that was nearly see through and black shoes.
The police are also looking to speak with the woman and her child to confirm their well-being.
The woman is described as between 25 and 30-years old, 5’4, 170 lbs with a full cover purple burqa, purple pants and a purple top.
The boy was wearing a white shirt with a blue collar and had medium length black hair.
