Human remains found at the site of John Banky's trailer fire

The RCMP say they have found human remains at the site of a suspicious fire as they continue to investigate the disappearance of John Banky.

On March 30th, Fort St. John RCMP began investigating the disappearance after Banky’s trailer was found on fire on Hannaford Road near Highway 29, and his truck was found ablaze on Golf Course Road in Charlie Lake.

Police say the remains were found at the Hannaford Road scene, but that the remains have not yet been identified.

The BC Coroner’s service is investigating, but say they are still in the early stages. The RCMP say they still consider Banky a missing person.

He has been described as 55-years old, 5'9", 190 lbs with hazel eyes and red hair.

Anyone with information is asked to call Fort St. John RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
