Drug and firearm charges handed to two Grande Prairie residents

Grande Prairie RCMP along with the Crime Reduction Unit have charged a 27-year old man and a 43-year old woman in the recovery of a stolen pickup truck.

While on patrol, police says officers observed a suspicious vehicle, which was subsequently confirmed as stolen, entering a southeast subdivision in Grande Prairie. 

The two people in the car were seen walking away from the truck and a chase ensued. The woman was quickly arrested. The canine unit attended and was able to locate and arrest the man.

Upon search of the vehicle, a gun and a small amount of cocaine and meth was found.

27-year old Jeremie Laframboise is facing a total of thirteen charges including several firearm and drug possession charges. He is to appear in provincial court on October 25th.

Christina Summers, 43, is facing nine charges, including several firearm and drug possession charges.

She is slated to appear in provincial court on October 11th.
