Just after 11 on Saturday night, Prince George RCMP responded to reported gunshots on the 500 block of Alward Street in Prince George.

Multiple officers attended, locating an empty house with the door open.

Witnesses, as well as evidence found at the scene, have led police to believe that an exchange of gunfire occurred between the occupant or occupants of a vehicle and those inside the house.

All parties fled the area before RCMP arrived.

At least one bullet pierced the exterior wall of a neighbours house, but no injuries have been reported.

The vehicle has been described as a dark coloured sedan.

A Police Dog Service Team located a gun near the house and tracked a scent for several blocks, however no suspect was found.

The homeowners have since been located and spoken to by police.

Police believe this incident was targeted and not a random act.  The investigation continues.

Prince George RCMP ask anyone who witnessed this incident or has further information to contact them at (250) 561-3300 or anonymously contact Crime Stoppers at 1 (800) 222-8477.
