Man sent to hospital, after two tanker collision on Tuesday

On Tuesday (April 23, 2019) morning, Grande Prairie RCMP were on scene of a collision of a two-tanker truck.
The collision took place on Highway 40, about 40 kilometers south of Grande Prairie.

Grande Prairie RCMP responded to the call around 10:33 a.m..
One semi loaded with two tankers of crude oil was heading north, when it swerved and the tankers were pulled into the ditch.
The tankers slid across the highway blocking traffic for a while, but no oil leaked.
The 39-year-old driver was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Occupational Health and Safety have been notified.
