Grande Prairie RCMP say they have arrested two people after a chase involving three stolen vehicles.

On Wednesday, October 11, police were called to Webster, Alberta, where a suspicious man's vehicle was stuck in a ditch. The caller said the man was behaving erratically and left on foot with a female passenger. Witnesses also say they saw the two people flee the area on a quad.

Investigation revealed the truck in the ditch was stolen, and the quad was also reported stolen soon afterward. Police then received a report  of a third stolen vehicle, which they tried to stop but were unable to. The RCMP say the driver is known to them as a dangerous offender. Police called in air support, and help from other detachments, including Dawson Creek and Spirit River, and soon found the truck from the air. The truck then collided with two RCMP vehicles and stopped near Bonanza.

The 35 year old driver and a 16-year-old girl were arrested. Nobody was injured in the collision, and charges against the two are pending.
