UPDATE: Grande Prairie RCMP on scene of small plane crash

UPDATE (TUESDAY 8:00 p.m.) : The pilot was a 43-year-old male from Saskatchewan. No information will be given regarding the cause of the crash.

UPDATE (5:40 p.m.) : The pilot of the ultra-light aircraft was fatally injured in the crash.
Investigators will arrive on scene around 9:30 p.m. local time this evening to begin their work. The investigation will likely continue into tomorrow.  
There was also a post-impact fire at the scene.

ORIGINAL POST: 
Grande Prairie RCMP are currently on scene at small plane crash, east of the city, near Range Road 52.
The call came in just after 2:00 p.m. this afternoon (Tuesday).
The RCMP have confirmed there was one person in the plane, but their condition is unknown at this time.
The Transportation Safety Board of Canada will be investigating the cause of the crash.
