Fort St. John RCMP are asking for the public's help with two alleged vehicle arson investigations.
Officers say they believe the two arsons may be related, as they occurred on Sunday, April 28, 2019 between 9:30 p.m. and 10:00 p.m..
The first happened on the 10100 block of 114A Avenue in Fort St. John. A man was apparently seen pouring an accelerant on a 2014 white Ford pick-up truck and setting it on fire. The flames destroyed the truck and also caused damage to a nearby 2016 Nissan Frontier. The alleged suspect was seen getting into the passenger side of a newer black Chevrolet Silverado, which left southbound on 100th Street.
The second incident apparently happened shortly after on the 8500 block of 86th Street in Fort St. John. When officers arrived, a 2003 grey Pontiac Grand Am was burning. The RCMP say there was evidence of an accelerant at the scene.
The investigation is on-going.
If you have any information about these alleged crimes, contact the Fort St. John RCMP at 250-787-8100, your local police, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
