The Fort St. John RCMP is requesting the public's help in locating 29-year-old Brian Wied.
Wied's mother says she last heard from him a year ago.
She messaged him on Facebook three days ago and reported him missing when she did not receive a reply.
Wied is described as 6'3", 200 pounds, with brown eyes, and brown hair.
He has a tattoo of his last name in large letters on his forearm and another tattoo of a christian cross on his shoulder and upper arm.
He also has a German Shepherd named Marley, who police says goes everywhere with him.
The RCMP says Wied could be in Fort St. John, Dawson Creek or Tumbler Ridge.
He does not own a vehicle.
If you have any information about Brian Wied or his whereabouts, contact the Fort St. John RCMP at 250-787-8100 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
