Emergency Services Continue Search for Missing Man

On Wednesday May 29 2019 at 5:44 PM Hudson’s Hope RCMP were called to the Peace River near the Peace Canyon Bridge.
 
It was reported that an Alberta man, 39 years of age was seen in the water and swept away with the fast rising water.
 
Frontline Officers, Fire Rescue, SAR and BC EHS responded immediately. RCMP conducted a marine search while SAR conducted a shore line search. Fire Rescue were positioned along the shoreline to aid in the search.
 
With darkness fast approaching. The search was suspended to be resumed on Thursday May 30 2019. PEP were contacted and will fly over the area to assist in the search.
 
RCMP have spoken with family of the missing man and at this time police will not be releasing his identity.
