Edmonton Man Charged After Grande Prairie Traffic Stop

An Edmonton man is facing 10 charges after a traffic stop in Grande Prairie.

Just before midnight on April 24, Grande Prairie RCMP pulled over a vehicle after observing that the plates didn’t match the vehicle they were on.

When pulled over, the driver was allegedly found to be in possession of illegal drugs and also had outstanding warrants against him.

Alec Levin of Edmonton is now facing the following charges:

-       Possession for the purpose of trafficking (three counts)

-       Possession of property obtained by crime (three counts)

-       Fail to comply with release documents (five counts)

When officers searched the vehicle during the initial traffic stop, they say they found:

-       Approximately 29 grams of Fentanyl

-       Approximately 72 grams of Cocaine

-       Approximately 81 grams of Methamphetamine

-        Approximately $2,000.00 in Canadian Currency
