Details emerging about officer-involved shooting in Grande Prairie

We are learning more about an officer-involved shooting in Grande Prairie.
 
On Tuesday, December 4, at 4:00 a.m RCMP officers pulled over a vehicle near 140 Street and 99 Avenue. During the encounter, a confrontation broke out between the suspects and police, which resulted in an officer's gun being fired, seriously injuring the driver of the vehicle.
 
The two occupants of the vehicle have now been charged. 21-year-old Raymond Rodtka faces a long list of charges, including attempted murder, pointing a firearm, discharging a firearm with intent, assault with a weapon, and flight from police. 30-year-old Kevin Turner faces two charges - unauthorized possession of a firearm, and possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle.
 
The Alberta Serious Incident Response Team continues to investigate the shooting.
