The provincial government is reaching out to residents for their thoughts on cellphone bills.

It's part of the BC Government's review of provincial consumer protection laws.

The province says they're also hoping for stakeholder groups and the telecom industry to partake.

They say the survey will be used to improve transparency in cellphone billing in BC, as well as to push the federal government for more affordable options.

The opposition says cell phone bills fall under federal jurisdiction and that Premier John Horgan is wasting taxpayer dollars to create the illusion he's doing something.

The online survey is set to run through July 5th, you can take part HERE.
